Situation
In 2023, Trip.com launched the 'Trekki Trip' digital credential collection, anticipating a highly sought-after launch event. The focus was on enhancing fraud resistance and fostering meaningful social contributions, necessitating a mechanism to verify user uniqueness seamlessly, without resorting to cumbersome KYC procedures.
Challenge
The primary hurdle for Trip.com was to devise a method that could reliably ascertain the individuality of each user, and their social engagement with the Trekki brand.
Solution
Clique was used to check for the quality and engagement of the social accounts of Trip.com’s users. Through the oracles, we were able to obtain much greater insights than what was available via the Twitter API. This included:
- Twitter Blue verification
- Twitter Account Age
- Twitter Follower/Impression Ratio
- Twitter engagement with Phaver (Likes, Comments, RTs, over time)
