Situation
Mantle sought an engaging approach to enable users to enhance their on-chain reputation in the lead-up to the Mantle Airdrop, fostering a deeper engagement with the blockchain. As the ecosystem debuted, there was a clear need for an innovative method to motivate users to expand their on-chain activities and total value locked (TVL) within Mantle's protocols.
Challenge
In the midst of significant anticipation surrounding its launch as a leading Layer 2 solution in 2023, Mantle was faced with the challenge of distinguishing genuine participants from sybil attackers, effectively tracking and evaluating active on-chain wallets, all while ensuring the community's efforts were in harmony with Mantle's overarching objectives.
Solution
Clique’s attestor allowed users to attest and mint their various off-chain metrics on-chain, as well as combine those with meaningful on-chain metrics.
